Target Audience

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, specialty physicians, research physicians, residents, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other clinicians at Bayhealth.

Statement of Need

Graduate Medical Education (GME) faculty have varying levels of experience as educators, resulting in differences in their application of teaching strategies and instructional tools. Faculty would benefit from structured opportunities to learn how peers at other institutions are innovating and integrating educational methodologies into residency and fellowship training. By enhancing the knowledge and teaching skills of GME faculty, programs can strengthen the quality of education provided to residents and fellows, which ultimately improves the quality of patient care and the clinical experience for patients seen by these learners.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:

  1. Apply innovative teaching and educational strategies to improve resident and fellow engagement and learning outcomes.

  2. Utilize effective supervision and mentoring techniques to better support learner development in clinical and professional settings.

  3. Incorporate leadership, administrative, and scholarly practices to strengthen the quality of graduate medical education programs.
