Target Audience

This activity is intended for Physicians, ALL Specialty Physicians, Pharmacists, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, Nurses, and Nurse Practitioners.


Statement of Need

There is a need to discuss treatment of new research and guidelines for clinical practitioners. Investigate and evaluate patient care practice, appraise and assimilate scientific evidence. The need to provide quality, appropriate, and effective treatment in conjunction with the most up to date medical knowledge exists. 


Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:

1. Identify and apply evidence based approaches to clinical and teaching.
2. Identify emerging tools, technology, and trends influence medicine and education.
3. Apply core principles of medicine to enhance patient care, including clinical guidelines and diagnostic reasoning.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Medical Society of Delaware and the Beebe Healthcare. The Medical Society of Delaware is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
