Medical Grand Rounds

Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS); every four weeks; Tuesday, 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Location: Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover, DE (Kent Campus)

 

Target Audience

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, specialty physicians, research physicians, residents, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other clinicians at Bayhealth.


Statement of Need

Changes in practice guidelines, multiple ways to address a medical problem and problems unique to the hospital. Newly identified or less common information that has not yet reached the facility. Providers have not been exposed to diversity, equity, and inclusion research. This educational series identifies changes in practice guidelines, multiple ways to address a medical problem and problems unique to the hospital. Newer guidelines as determined by medical societies from cardiology, ACP, Gastroenterology, endocrine. Observation of residents in the clinic and on a variety of rotations.  


Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:

  1. Discuss innovative ways to improve current processes.
  2. Discuss and implement updated practice guidelines
  3. Discuss and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion research.
  4. Apply Improved communication with patients of diverse backgrounds.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Medical Society of Delaware and the Bayhealth Medical Center. The Medical Society of Delaware is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
