Overview
The Dr. Margaret Handy Memorial Lectureship is a dynamic event designed to provide insight into cutting edge topics in Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for all specialty physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners.
Statement of Need
Evolving field with constant influx of new information. There is a need to better recognize the components of an effective NICU neurodevelopmental follow up program, better ability to facilitate developmentally appropriate care in the NICU, and better ability to support infants with NOWS via the Eat, Sleep, Console strategy.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:
1. Discuss the best practices in high risk follow up of premature infants after discharge from the NICU2. Apply and implement best practices in antibiotic stewardship for critically ill neonatal patients
3. Discuss current research in obstetrical interventions to prevent preterm birth
