Overview
Join us for an exclusive educational event designed to help physicians safely navigate the rapidly changing frontiers of modern medicine. The Future of Medicine: AI & Emerging Peptide Therapies delivers actionable, evidence-based insights into today's most requested clinical advancements and operational tools. The first half of the program, Amit Kapoor, MD tackles the clinical realities of cellular peptides and GLP-1 variations, equipping you to confidently separate rigorous medical science from patient-driven market hype. In the second half, Shannon Curtis, JD from the American Medical Association (AMA) joins a practicing physician to break down the clinical utility, malpractice risks, and legal liabilities of integrating AI into your practice, concluding with a structured risk-mitigation checklist tailored for Delaware physicians.
Target Audience
This audience includes primary care physicians, research physicians, residents, and physicians of all specialties and subspecialties.
Statement of Need
Health care professionals face a critical dual challenge: managing intense patient demand for cutting-edge peptide therapies while safely integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into clinical workflows. Clinicians require clear guidance to separate evidence-based clinical science from patient-driven hype surrounding GLP-1 variations and cellular peptides, ensuring clinical safety protocols are maintained. Concurrently, physicians face substantial uncertainty regarding AI integration, specifically needing practical strategies to reduce administrative documentation fatigue alongside an actionable legal framework to handle physician-algorithm disagreement and malpractice liability.
This activity addresses these gaps by providing data-driven safety insights for emerging therapies and a structured legal risk-mitigation checklist, including specific documentation standards for Delaware physicians, to safely bridge the gap between emerging medical innovations and everyday clinical practice.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:
- Differentiate between peer-reviewed, evidence-based science and patient-driven marketing hype concerning GLP-1 variations and emerging cellular peptide therapies to ensure safe clinical counseling.
- Evaluate the administrative utilities of clinical artificial intelligence, such as reducing documentation fatigue and streamlining prior authorizations, against potential malpractice and legal liability risks.
- Formulate a structured approach to navigate "algorithmic disagreement" when a physician's clinical judgment conflicts with an AI software recommendation, ensuring compliance with risk-mitigation and documentation standards.
