Target Audience
This activity is intended for dermatologists, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners.
Statement of Need
Many dermatologists have limited training in dermoscopy which prevents its widespread adoption.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:
- Recognize the basic principles and importance of dermoscopy in skin examinations.
- Discuss the identification of common skin lesions through dermoscopic examination.
- Identify key features for accurate diagnosis to distinguish between benign and malignant skin lesions.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Medical Society of Delaware and the Delaware Academy of Dermatology. The Medical Society of Delaware is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
