Overview

Join Dr. Colleen Leitner for a discussion around oppositional defiant disorder and conduct disorder in youth.

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, primary care physicians, specialty physicians, physician assistants, advanced clinical practitioners, nurse practitioners, nurses, and social workers .

Statement of Need

Traditionally, pediatric and family practitioners have not managed children with complex psychiatric needs and it would not have been part of their nursing, pediatric or family residency training..

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:

1. Define presenting characteristics and diagnostic criteria for oppositional defiant and conduct disorders in children
2. Discuss neurobiology, differential diagnoses, and clinical considerations in oppositional defiant and conduct disorders in children
3. List treatment options for oppositional defiant disorder and conduct disorder in children
