Target Audience
This activity is intended for pediatricians, family physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, physician assistants, nurses, early learning center providers, and community health professionals.
Statement of Need
To enhance knowledge of social determinants of health (SDoH) factors, latest advancements, evidence-based guidelines in the diagnosis, treatment and coordination of chronic diseases and mental health in children.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:
- Describe the current landscape and epidemiology of chronic diseases and mental health issues in pediatric populations.
- Discuss evidence-based interventions and treatment modalities for managing chronic diseases and mental health issues in primary care pediatrics.
- Recognize the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the management of chronic diseases and mental health and the impact of social determinants of health contributors.
