Overview

The Annual William J. Holloway Infectious Disease Symposium continues its rich tradition of addressing topics of local and global significance of providers practicing medicine today.
 

Target Audience

This activity is intended for primary care physicians, specialty physicians, pharmacists, residents, medical students, physician assistants, nurses, and nurse practitioners.


Statement of Need

Vaccination information will address knowledge gap. Better use of antibiotics will address patient outcomes. Use of artificial intelligence will address knowledge, and potentially impact systems based practice and eventually patient outcomes. Information on Zoonotic infections will impact patient performance. 


Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:

  1. Discuss changes in vaccination information that will be forthcoming. 
  2. Discuss better use of antibiotics based on evidence.
  3. Discuss applications for artificial intelligence within infectious disease. 
  4. Address clinical management of zoonotic infections.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Medical Society of Delaware and Christiana Care. The Medical Society of Delaware is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
