Target Audience

This activity is intended for Primary Care Physicians, Research Physicians, and all Specialty Physicians providing care for adult patients.

Statement of Need

Busy practitioners cannot always keep up with the literature related to advances in evidence-based guidelines. Busy practitioners cannot always keep up with technology advances that can improve patient care. 

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to:

1. Discuss recently updated evidence-based clinical guidelines, and apply them in daily practice. 
2. Discuss advances in technology that impact the care of internal medicine patients.
3. Describe appropriate use of technology in the care of patients.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Medical Society of Delaware and Christiana Care. Credit Designation Statement

The Medical Society of Delaware designates this live activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Successful completion of this CME activity session enables the participant to earn up to 1 MOC point in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.  It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points. 

Upon successful completion of this course, the Medical Society of Delaware (MSD) will submit your completion data to ABIM via ACCME’s Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS) for MOC points.
